Our name came from the sea daffodil, Pancratium maritimum. South, west and north wall of the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri, is decorated with the wall painting of spring, which contains these sea daffodils.

It' s the only wall painting of Akrotiri that was found intact and very well preserved. Celebrates the arrival of spring and depicts the rocky landscape Strongyle (Santorini), before the volcanic eruption.
